Job Description
I’m looking for a skilled video editor who is very comfortable with Adobe Premiere Pro and understands YouTube and social media video strategy, especially how videos gain views.
This role goes beyond basic editing. You should understand how YouTube works, how to structure content for retention, and how to edit videos that actually perform, not just look polished.
- What you’ll be doing
- Editing long-form YouTube videos (talking head, interviews, podcast-style content)
- Cutting dead space and improving pacing for audience retention
- Structuring videos to hook viewers in the first few seconds
- Creating YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok clips from long content
- Adding captions, light graphics, and basic audio cleanup
- What I’m looking for
- Strong experience with Adobe Premiere Pro
- Solid understanding of YouTube growth and video strategy
- Knows how editing impacts views, watch time, and retention
- Experience repurposing long-form content into short-form
- Reliable, clear communication and consistent delivery
- Nice to have
- Thumbnail experience
- Basic YouTube SEO knowledge
- Ability to review performance and improve future edits
