Job Description

The Director of Finance- IRF supports and trains hospital Directors of Finance while directing the department's activities to ensure alignment with the organization's mission and objectives.

    Responsibilities
  • Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards that meet requirements/objectives of the organization
  • Directs and evaluates departmental operations to achieve performance and quality control objectives
  • Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives
  • Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding
  • Coordinates and directs internal/external audits
  • Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth
  • Ensures department stays focused on their important role in the continuum of care
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
    Skills
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 8 years of finance or accounting experience
  • Strong background in financial budgeting
  • Problem solving skills
  • Proven leadership
  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Business or Accounting preferred
  • Healthcare experience preferred
