Job Description

The Director of Finance- IRF supports and trains hospital Directors of Finance while directing the department's activities to ensure alignment with the organization's mission and objectives.

Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards that meet requirements/objectives of the organization
Directs and evaluates departmental operations to achieve performance and quality control objectives
Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives
Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding
Coordinates and directs internal/external audits
Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth
Ensures department stays focused on their important role in the continuum of care
Ability to travel as needed
Other duties as assigned

Bachelor's degree required
8 years of finance or accounting experience
Strong background in financial budgeting
Problem solving skills
Proven leadership
Bachelor degree in Finance, Business or Accounting preferred
Healthcare experience preferred
