EBP Audit Manager
Position Overview
The EBP Audit Manager will oversee and manage audits of employee benefit plans (EBP) to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards. The role involves coordinating audit activities, leading a team of auditors, and serving as a key liaison with clients to provide exceptional service and insights into EBP compliance.
- Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage audits of employee benefit plans including 401(k), ESOP, 403(b), and union plans.
- Review and analyze audit workpapers to ensure accuracy and compliance with ERISA and other regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with clients to gather necessary documentation and information for audits.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior auditors on audit processes and best practices.
- Prepare and present audit findings and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations affecting employee benefit plans and communicate these changes to the team and clients.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a comprehensive approach to EBP audits.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a BIG Plus.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on employee benefit plans.
- Strong understanding of ERISA regulations and compliance requirements for employee benefit plans.
- Experience with auditing various types of employee benefit plans, including 401(k), ESOP, 403(b), and union plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
