We complement our revenue cycle services with insurance verification, prior authorizations/utilization management and patient benefit verification.
Job Description:
We are currently seeking an authorizations and patient benefits representative with experience in a related field who demonstrates drive and motivation to excel in their work. We would like to bring on team members who take great pride in their work to join our dynamic, growing team.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with the patient, physician, and insurance company on the complete pre-certification process, including peer-to-peers and appeals when needed.
- Make and answer telephone calls from patients and insurance companies regarding the pre-certification process.
- Assist with the billing department call queue and provide outstanding customer service to patients who call with questions about what their insurance will cover, questions about their bill, payment plan options, etc.
- Receive and process insurance information and forms from patients and insurance companies.
- Verify insurance benefits and coverage details.
- Call all patients prior to their appointment to perform a financial counseling visit via phone. Provide the patient with a detailed cost estimate specific to their anticipated procedure and insurance.
- Establish payment arrangements with the patient and document them appropriately in the practice management system.

- Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare management softwares/EHRs.
- Experience in prior authorization and/or financial counseling is preferred.
- Familiarity with insurance policies and changes.
