WordPress Developer – Ongoing Maintenance & Custom Code Support (As-Needed)

I’m seeking a skilled WordPress developer for occasional maintenance and support of an existing custom-coded website. The site is stable and well-built, but I need a reliable professional I can reach out to periodically for minor updates, optimizations, and troubleshooting.

This is not a full-time or ongoing contract—think of it as an on-call arrangement for small tasks as they arise.

Responsibilities:

∙ Perform routine maintenance and debugging on a custom WordPress site

∙ Implement minor updates to content, layout, or functionality

∙ Optimize performance and ensure cross-browser/device compatibility

∙ Troubleshoot occasional plugin or theme conflicts

∙ Provide clear communication and quick turnaround on small tasks

Requirements:

∙ 3+ years of WordPress development experience

∙ Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

∙ Experience building or maintaining custom WordPress themes and plugins

∙ Familiarity with version control (Git) and staging environments

∙ Dependable communication and availability for periodic work

Preferred:

∙ Experience with performance optimization, security best practices, and basic SEO

∙ U.S.-based or U.S. timezone availability (for easier coordination)
