Databricks Analyst
Location: Remote (Boston, MA)
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Databricks Analyst to support data analytics and financial reporting initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with a strong finance or accounting background who has hands-on experience leveraging Databricks for data transformation, analysis, and reporting.
You will work cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, and IT teams to build scalable data solutions, enhance reporting capabilities, and drive data-driven decision-making.
- Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and analytical workflows in Databricks
- Perform data extraction, transformation, and validation across financial systems
- Build dashboards, reports, and financial models to support FP&A and accounting functions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and governance standards are met
- Support automation of financial reporting processes
- Document processes, data flows, and technical solutions
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience using Databricks
- Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and reporting processes
- Experience with SQL and data modeling
- Experience working with large datasets and structured/unstructured data
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting FP&A, controllership, or audit functions
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience integrating ERP or financial systems with Databricks
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
