Job Description

This is a listing for my client. I will send the contract through the client's account on Upwork.

We are a health and wellness company producing a high volume of educational content about weight loss surgery, GLP-1 medications, post-operative care, and patient health topics.

We need one reliable medical professional to review articles for clinical accuracy. You must be comfortable with your name attached to as a byline (eg: "Content reviewed by [name]").

What this looks like:

  • We send you batches of articles per week, goal of ramping up to 10 per week.
  • Each article is 1,500-2,500 words, already fully drafted
  • You review for medical accuracy, flag anything incorrect or misleading, and approve
  • Your name and credentials appear on each published piece (e.g., "Reviewed by [Name], RN/RD/MD")
  • Turnaround: 48-72 hours per batch

Ideal candidate:

  • Registered Dietitian (RD), Registered Nurse (RN), Certified Bariatric Nurse (CBN), Physician Assistant (PA), or MD with bariatric/obesity medicine experience
  • Familiar with GLP-1 medications, bariatric surgery procedures (gastric sleeve, gastric bypass, ESG, SADI-S), and post-operative nutrition
  • Comfortable having your name publicly associated with the content
  • Responsive and consistent. This is an ongoing relationship, not a one-off project.

Compensation:

  • Per-article rate (open to discussing based on your experience)
  • Long-term, steady work. We are aiming to produce 40-60 articles per month.

To apply, please share:

  • Your credentials and any relevant bariatric/weight loss experience
  • A sample of published health content you have reviewed or written (if available)
  • Your per-article rate
  • Your typical turnaround time for a batch of 10-14 articles
