This is a per diem position. The chaplain will primarily be covering weekend day shifts. Job Summary Summary: Responsible for providing spiritual care to patients, families, visitors, and staff. Patients are seen at the bedside or in outpatient settings as assigned. Involved in all aspects of care, including but not limited to team meetings, family meetings, and goal discussions. Staff support is provided through 1:1 encounters and group gatherings in the units and other locations as needed. Also charged with developing and leading hospital-wide and community faith-specific and interfaith services. Work as team members in accordance with the department's mission and vision statements. Yes Essential Functions: Counsel individuals or groups concerning their spiritual, emotional, or personal needs. -Share information about religious issues by writing articles, giving speeches, or teaching. -Respond to requests for assistance during emergencies or crises. -Administer religious rites or ordinances. Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required, and Graduate Diploma Related Field of Study preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Experience in a hospital setting or relevant spiritual, ministry, pastoral, congregational or other relevant experience 2-3 years required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Maintains current knowledge of regulations pertaining to the delivery of Hospice services and conducts team operations in a manner to be in compliance with such regulations. - Maintains and demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of bereavement principles, practices, standards, and techniques, and applies this knowledge in accordance with St. - Knowledge of various religious practices, health care ethics, grief and bereavement counseling techniques, and excellent work organization skills. - Two or more units of Clinical Pastoral Education from an accredited ACPE or NACC training program preferred. - Proficient at multitasking and having a high level of problem-solving skills. - Demonstrates resiliency with matters of death and dying. - Excellent listening and verbal communication skills. - Crisis response and trauma-informed care Additional Job Details (if applicable) Remote Type Onsite Work Location 265 Charles Street Scheduled Weekly Hours 0 Employee Type Per Diem Work Shift Day (United States of America) Pay Range $27.95 - $40.70/Hourly Grade 6 At Mass General Brigham, we believe in recognizing and rewarding the unique value each team member brings to our organization.
