Principal Security Architect - Remote, 10-20% Travel Overview Conexess Group is aiding a client in their search for a Principal Security Architect to help grow their Security Practice. This is a direct hire opportunity with a competitive compensation package. This is a remote position with approximately 10-20% travel. Responsibilities Role is split across sales and delivery. Ideal percentages are split equally, 50/50. However, demand can shift to more delivery or more pre-sales. Perform delivery work for our customers on architecture and/or engineering. This can consist of hands-on delivery for projects, assessments and/or consulting. Work across all our practices, solution architects, and sales teams. Respond to RFIs, RFQs and RFPs. Create BOMs, SOWs and LOEs. Develop collateral and present to customers. Create architecture design artifacts (HLDs and LLDs). Create pre-sales collateral (presentations, feature matrix, etc.). Vet new technologies and OEMs in our lab and create cross-platform integrations. Train and educate our security team and solution architects. Work directly with sales reps and delivery engineers. Requirements Must be able to speak, present and communicate in front of groups and at all levels within an organization (technical individual contributor to decision makers). Strong written and verbal skills, including the ability to create advisory outputs (PowerPoint and/or detailed Word documents) and architecture diagrams. Create pre-sales artifacts or delivery artifacts from scratch. Ability to identify a pre-sales opportunity and follow it through to close. Ability to oversee and/or contribute to a successful delivery project. Analyze and assess customer requirements and challenges, identify recommendations for solutions or process improvements, and define a plan to implement the proposed solution. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Problem-solving skills. Co-develop and co-deliver workshops and executive briefings as they pertain to security. Approximately 50% professional services delivery/billable time. Approximately 10-20% travel may be required, depending on demand. Nice to Have Certifications CISSP or CISA or CISM certification AWS Certified Security – Specialty Azure Azure Security Engineer Tanium TCO, TCA or Zscaler ZDTA, ZTCA CyberArk Defender, Sentry, Client SailPoint IdentityIQ Engineer, IdentityNow Engineer Fortinet NSE 4 or higher (or newer cert program FCP or higher) Palo Alto PCNSE (or newer cert program of Professional or higher) Experience Experience with enterprise data security, common enterprise security deployments and infrastructures within the Fortune 250 space.
