The role involves designing and building cross-platform mobile games, optimizing performance, and collaborating with various team members to enhance gameplay experiences.
- Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and build cross-platform mobile games using Solar2D with Lua scripting
- Implement gameplay mechanics and game systems from concept to deployment
- Optimize game performance across a wide range of mobile devices
- Integrate monetization features such as in-app purchases and ad networks
- Collaborate with designers, artists, and developers to refine gameplay experiences
- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code following best practices
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve development quality
- Skills
- Experience developing mobile games with Solar2D (Corona SDK) and Lua scripting
- Strong understanding of cross-platform game deployment for iOS and Android
- Ability to prototype quickly in fast-paced development environments
- Knowledge of optimizing mobile game performance and managing device compatibility
- Experience integrating monetization features such as advertisements and in-app purchases
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative mindset
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment while maintaining productivity and attention to detail
- Portfolio showcasing mobile games developed with Solar2D or Corona SDK
- Familiarity with app store submission processes and analytics tools
- Experience working with remote and multicultural teams
