In this role, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and performing various tasks to support the day-to-day operations of our food mart. - *Key Responsibilities:**
- Welcome and greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, making eye contact and offering assistance as needed
- Represent arenaflex in a professional and courteous manner at all times, consistently maintaining a positive and respectful attitude when interacting with customers
- Perform the Four Steps of Customer Service to ensure excellent customer satisfaction and Mystery Shop reviews
- Offer current promotional items to customers and provide information on credit card applications and other relevant services
- Maintain a clean and visually appealing store environment, including stocking displays and coolers, ensuring prices are displayed correctly, and removing damaged and expired items
- Handle cash, debit, and credit transactions accurately and efficiently, following company policies and procedures
- Perform various maintenance and cleanliness duties, including sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning restrooms, and removing trash and debris
- Follow shift duties schedule and perform other tasks as assigned by management
- *Essential Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Basic aptitude and understanding of POS systems preferred
- Some customer service experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
- Adaptability, multi-tasking, and sound decision-making abilities required
- Computer proficiency required
- Ability to work any shift, Sunday to Saturday, to support business needs
- Ability to effectively communicate and work in a fast-paced environment
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- Previous experience in retail or food service operations
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other software applications
- Familiarity with cash handling and POS systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical activities that require considerable use of hands, arms, and legs
- *Skills and Competencies:**
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
- Basic math skills and ability to handle cash, debit, and credit transactions accurately
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical activities that require considerable use of hands, arms, and legs
- Proficient hand/eye dexterity to operate cash register and stock displays and coolers
- Ability to work inside and outside in all types of weather
