SUMMARY:

The primary purpose of the Financial Data Analyst resource is to assist with the PMIS financial data migration activities by performing the review and data clean-up of financial information extracted from legacy systems. Audits existing financial data to assure the accuracy and completeness of financial data using accounting and financial analysis knowledge.

SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

Preparation of Project Cost Data: Clean, organize, and confirm the accuracy of project cost data extracted from the project accounting sub-ledger (Sage 300/Timberline) or PeopleSoft staged in Microsoft Access tables. Accurately map the Timberline project cost line-item data to the appropriate Oracle Primavera Unifier Business Process including fund appropriation, budgets, purchase requisitions, purchase order amendments, construction purchase orders, change orders, invoices, and applications for payment.

Project Cost Data Validation: Review project cost data loaded to the Oracle Unifier system by business process to validate data integrity, accuracy, and completeness. Ensure all data elements are migrated and verify system functionality. Monitor the data migration process closely to identify any errors or anomalies during execution.

Project Cost Reconciliation Collects appropriate and necessary project cost data using the construction accounting sub-ledger (Timberline), PeopleSoft, OBIEE, MS Access databases, Excel spreadsheets to analyze data and prepare, or participate in the preparation of, project cost reporting and reconciliation between existing and new systems.
