- *Job Summary:**
We're seeking experienced Retail Customer Service Representatives to join our team at our Oceanside, NY store location. As a key member of our store team, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, helping customers shop and find what they're looking for, and ensuring a fast and friendly checkout experience. You'll also be involved in various store operations, including truck unloading, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions to meet their creative needs
- Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience, executing cash handling to standards and ensuring accurate transactions
- Engage customers on the benefits of our Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, and complete enrollments as needed
- Educate customers on our Voice of Customer (VOC) survey and encourage feedback to help us improve our services
- Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
- Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes to ensure a well-merchandised and in-stock store
- Responsible for completing merchandise recovery and maintenance, including the merchandise return/go back process and general store recovery
- Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned
- Support shrink and safety programs to maintain a secure and safe store environment
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements
- Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner, remaining positive and respectful even in difficult situations
- Cross-trained in Custom Framing selling and production to provide expert advice and services to customers
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- Retail and/or customer service experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves by ladder or similar equipment
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and early mornings as needed
- *Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to remain standing for long periods of time
- Ability to move throughout the store
- Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching
- Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment
- Ability to work in a public retail store setting with climate-controlled areas and some outdoor work as assigned
- *Work Environment:**
- Public retail store setting with climate-controlled areas and some outdoor work as assigned
- Some stock rooms may not be climate-controlled
- Frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press
- Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings
