Job Description
A major brand in streaming/entertainment is seeking a highly creative Senior Animator / Video Editor to lead motion design and post-production across brand, product, and campaign initiatives. This role requires an animator first, editor second — someone who can concept, storyboard, and strategically shape creative while independently driving projects from brief to final delivery.
Ideal candidates have experience in streaming, entertainment, sports, or agency environments and are comfortable producing high-volume marketing content under tight timelines.
Open ended contract, full time hours PST
$45-55 per hour
Responsibilities:
Animation & Motion Design (Primary Focus)
Concept, design, and animate high-impact motion assets for brand storytelling, product demos, campaign launches, and cross-platform marketing initiatives.
Develop style-frames, keyframes, typography systems, title/logo animations, and fully realized 2D/3D motion sequences.
Animate app UI interactions, feature walkthroughs, and product flows for sizzle reels and explainer content.
Create end cards, transitions, modular graphic systems, GIFs, and micro-animations for social, CRM, email marketing, and paid media.
Build and version short-form videos optimized for digital platforms and app store environments.
Translate creative briefs into cohesive visual systems through storyboards and look development.
Ensure all assets align with brand standards, color systems, and technical specifications across formats and aspect ratios.
Video Editing & Post-Production
Edit polished, broadcast-quality marketing and product content.
Produce cutdowns and re-versioned assets tailored to different platforms, specs, and durations.
Manage full editorial workflows including ingest, organization, edit, sound mix, color, graphics integration, QC, and final export.
Maintain organized file structures, version control, and consistent delivery standards.
Self-QC all animations and edits to ensure visual precision and technical accuracy.
AI & Workflow Innovation
Integrate AI-powered tools (e.g., Runway, Pika, Firefly, Stable Diffusion, or similar) to accelerate concepting, asset generation, and production efficiency.
Apply AI tools for rotoscoping, cleanup, enhancement, and rapid iteration.
Proactively introduce workflow improvements that increase velocity and creative output.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in motion design and video editing within streaming, entertainment, sports, or agency environments.
Animator-first mindset with strong concepting, storytelling, and strategic creative thinking.
Expert proficiency in Adobe After Effects.
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro (required), Photoshop, Illustrator, and familiarity with Figma for navigating and exporting design assets.
Ability to confidently work within and interpret Adobe and Figma design files without relying heavily on additional design support.
Experience creating marketing videos across social, owned-and-operated channels, email GIFs, paid media, and short-form digital content.
Strong understanding of video specs, codecs, aspect ratios, and platform optimization.
Resourceful, highly organized, and meticulous about quality control.
Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with cross-functional creative and marketing teams.
Portfolio must demonstrate excellence in animation, motion craft, editorial storytelling, and brand-aligned creative execution.
