Position Summary/Job Duties:
Part-Time Summer Nanny (15–20 hrs/week) – Active, Engaging, and Dependable
Location: Near West Side, Madison
We are looking for an energetic, responsible, and engaging summer nanny for our 9-year-old son (rising 4th grader). This is a part-time role (approximately 15–20 hours per week), generally between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., with flexibility in scheduling.
Our son does best with people who are active, positive, and sporty. Summer days may include riding bikes, playing pickleball, and playing baseball at the park across the street. They may also include driving him to tennis, golf, the pool, and playdates. My son also enjoys chess, Legos, solving Rubik’s cubes, drawing, and playing piano. He is signed up for a couple of summer camps, which we will let you know in advance.
We have two younger boys (ages 6 and 3) who have separate summer plans but may occasionally be home. Additional compensation would be provided if their care is needed. We also have a friendly dog and two cats.
This is a great opportunity for a college student home for the summer or someone who enjoys staying active and building meaningful relationships with kids. There may also be an opportunity to extend the position into the fall, with occasional evenings and weekends, if it’s a good fit. Qualifications:
- What We’re Looking For:
- Reliable and proactive
- Energetic and comfortable in a busy household
- Enjoys sports and outdoor play
- Experience working with children preferred (but not required)
- Background or interest in education, nursing, occupational therapy, psychology, or a related field is a plus
- Access to a car, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record preferred
