Job Description

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Hartmann Young is partnering with a global biotechnology supplier to recruit an experienced Technical Sales Consultant to drive the growth of its raw material reagents portfolio. The Technical Sales Consultant will lead commercial activities across the IVD and biotechnology markets, focusing on revenue growth, strategic account management, and new business development.

    Responsibilities
  • Identify, qualify, and engage new business opportunities across the diagnostics sector
  • Build and manage relationships with scientists, R&D leaders, and procurement teams
  • Provide technical consultation on product selection, assay development, and application optimisation
  • Meet or exceed sales targets through effective account planning and pipeline management
  • Collaborate with product management and R&D teams to relay customer needs and market insights
  • Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and virtual industry events
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and deliver territory forecasts and reports
  • Support cross-functional discussions around custom products, OEM, or ODM partnerships
    Skills
  • MA or PhD in life sciences, biotechnology, immunology, or related field
  • 4+ years' experience in technical sales, field applications, or business development within diagnostics, IVD, or life science tools
  • Strong understanding of immunoassays, antibodies, antigens, and diagnostic product development
  • Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to travel 30–50% as needed
  • Selling into IVD manufacturers, CROs, OEMs, or academic core facilities
  • Familiarity with immunoassay platforms (CLIA, TIA, ELISA, lateral flow) and key biomarker categories (cardiac, infectious disease, neurodegenerative, etc.)
  • CRM experience (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Odoo)
