Role Description
We are seeking a Senior HIM Consultant for a contract, on-site role located in Greenwood, IN. The consultant will be responsible for assessing and improving Health Information Management (HIM) workflows, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and collaborating with clients to implement best practices. Responsibilities also include analyzing data, optimizing processes within Epic systems, conducting training sessions, and delivering recommendations to enhance organizational efficiency and revenue cycle outcomes.
- Qualifications
- Expertise in Healthcare Information Management (HIM) processes, including chart analysis, assembling/reviewing, and release of information practices.
- Experience with Epic systems, including implementation, optimization, and configuration for HIM-related workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and improve complex workflows and processes.
- Proven ability to provide consultative support, deliver training, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at various organizational levels.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA, and best practices in compliance and data security.
- Experience with revenue cycle management and understanding of financial operations in healthcare is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Business Administration, or a related field; RHIA or RHIT certification is highly desirable.
