Job Description
I’m seeking a highly experienced investment banking or institutional markets professional to serve as a trusted strategic advisor on an hourly, as-needed basis. This role is intended to build an ongoing relationship with someone I can periodically consult to pressure-test investment ideas, review opportunities, and provide institutional-level perspective across multiple asset classes.
This is not a portfolio management role and does not involve discretionary control of capital. Instead, I’m looking for a seasoned professional who enjoys thoughtful discussion around investments and capital allocation and can provide candid, experienced insight.
Ideal Background
The ideal candidate will have 15–25+ years of experience in investment banking, institutional asset management, private markets, or capital markets, preferably with meaningful experience at a top-tier investment bank, private equity firm, hedge fund, or credit platform.
Experience at firms such as Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan, Lazard, Evercore, Blackstone, KKR, Apollo, Carlyle, etc. is strongly preferred but not required.

I’m particularly interested in insights and evaluation across:
- Public equities
- Fixed income / bonds
- Private credit
- Private equity
- Venture capital
- Structured investments
- Portfolio construction and capital allocation
- Macro market considerations
Typical Engagements May Include
- Discussing and pressure-testing investment theses
- Evaluating potential investments or opportunities
- Reviewing risk factors and downside scenarios
- Providing macro or market perspective when relevant
- Conducting occasional light research on opportunities or sectors
- Offering institutional insight on deal structures or capital markets dynamics
Engagement Structure
- Hourly consulting
- Flexible / as-needed engagement
- Conversations may occur via Zoom, phone, or written commentary
- Expected usage: periodic discussions rather than ongoing weekly work
