Location: REDMOND, WA(Remote)
Duration: 21 months Contract
Prior Microsoft experience is required for this role.

- Typical Day in the Role
- Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is brining Windows through Mixed Reality. Need a Product designer / UX designer that has some experience with XR. Designing for AR, VR etc., the resource will help the team bring the whole of the Windows ecosystem into this space.
- Key projects: This role will contribute to bring Windows to MR.
- Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of 20% meetings, alignments, work sessions, 50% heads down working on tasks, Figma, unity, and the rest of the time will vary depending on the deadlines.

- Years of Experience Required: 2+ overall years of experience in the field.
- Degrees or certifications required: No degree is required to be eligible for this role.
- Disqualifiers: Candidates with no portfolio and does not have examples of a couple of projects that they have worked on will not be eligible for the role.
- Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain any experience working in XR (whether it is working in the game studio, in working in VR games, working at Meta, etc.).
- Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on quality of work and quality of deliverables.

1. Minimum 2+ years experience with Figma. - Required

Note: Unity experience (any game engine Experiences is valid, but unity definitely A + and C sharp experience is A+ as well) - Not required, but a very nice to have.

- Expected Dates that Hard Skills Assessments will be scheduled: ASAP.
- Hard Skills Assessment Process: The assessment process will include portfolio review with the sponsor and team during the HSA.
- Required Candidate Preparation: Candidates should have a portfolio and a couple of prior examples prepared prior to the assessment.

Summary:
As a Product Designer, you will play a pivotal role in creating innovative, user-centric experiences for XR (AR, VR, MR) products within the Microsoft Windows ecosystem. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and refine immersive experiences that are both functional and visually compelling.
- Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define and deliver on the product vision for XR experiences.
- Design intuitive and immersive user interfaces and interactions tailored for AR, VR, and MR environments.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and detailed visual designs that effectively communicate design ideas and user flows.
- Work closely with developers to ensure the design vision is executed faithfully and efficiently.
- Contribute to the development of design systems and best practices that support scalability and consistency across XR products.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in product design, with a focus on XR (AR, VR, MR) or related fields.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Strong portfolio showcasing experience in designing immersive experiences for XR platforms.
- Experience using prototyping tools for XR, such as ShapesXR, Bezi, or similar, to rapidly visualize and iterate on spatial experiences.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate design decisions effectively.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Unity experience is a plus.
