  • *Job Responsibilities**

As a Customer Service Representative Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

  • **Supervising and Guiding Subordinate Staff**: Supervises, guides, and/or instructs the work assignments of subordinate staff
  • **Providing Excellent Customer Service**: Communicates with the general public, internal customers, and/or external customers to provide information and recommendations targeted to meet customer expectations
  • **Resolving Complicated Issues**: Resolves complicated issues involving customer service and/or researches governing policies, procedures, or laws to respond to clients or visitors
  • **Hiring, Evaluating, and Developing Staff**: Hires, supervises, and evaluates clerical staff, provides educational opportunities that enhance staff skills and knowledge
  • **Maintaining Accurate Records**: Maintains, monitors, and approves leave and timesheets for clerical staff, creates and maintains yearly Performance Evaluations for Clerical Staff
  • **Directing Workflow and Assisting with Front Desk Duties**: Directs workflow to clerical staff, assists with front desk duties as needed, monitors clinic flow, prepares and maintains daily scheduling of the clinic
  • **Managing Billing Operations**: Audits health department A/R Aging Report, bills clients for Family Planning payment plan, insurance co-pays/co-insurance/denials, contacts clients to assist in resolving any insurance billing issues
  • **Board of Health Support**: Serves as secretary to the Board of Health, maintains Board of Health Member Roster and updates contact information, schedules monthly and called meetings at the direction of the Chairman of the BOH
  • **Assisting the Environmental Health Department**: Assists the Environmental Health department as needed
  • **Participating in Emergency Preparedness Efforts**: Participates in emergency preparedness efforts in partnership with the District and local agencies and stakeholders
  • **Establishing and Maintaining Internal and External Partnerships**: Establishes and maintains internal and external partnerships
  • *Essential Qualifications**
  • High school diploma/GED and five (5) years in a lead worker, team leader, or supervisory role in a customer service setting communicating information
  • Two (2) years of experience required at the lower level Customer Svc Rep 3 (GST122)
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and perform administrative tasks
  • *Preferred Qualifications**
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Experience working in a public health setting
  • Knowledge of EMR systems and billing operations
  • Experience with customer service software and systems
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations related to public health
