Position Overview
The Data Entry Specialist I – 2nd Shift at arenaflex plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our aviation maintenance records. Working overnight, you will be responsible for entering, validating, and updating a high volume of technical data related to aircraft inspections, component replacements, and compliance documentation. Your work ensures that engineers, technicians, and regulatory auditors have immediate access to accurate information, ultimately supporting safe flight operations for our airline partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurate Data Capture: Enter maintenance events, service bulletins, and compliance records into the arenaflex Maintenance Management System (MMS) with 99.9% accuracy.
- Verification & Quality Assurance: Cross‑check entered data against original work orders, engineering reports, and inspection logs to identify and correct discrepancies.
- Document Management: Scan, index, and archive electronic copies of manuals, certificates, and regulatory paperwork according to arenaflex’s retention policies.
- Shift Collaboration: Communicate hand‑over information to the 1st‑shift team through detailed shift reports, ensuring continuity of operations.
- Compliance Support: Assist the Quality Assurance team by preparing audit‑ready records for FAA, EASA, and other aviation authorities.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in process‑enhancement initiatives, suggesting automation or workflow optimizations that reduce manual entry time.
- Data Security: Adhere to arenaflex’s information security protocols, safeguarding sensitive aircraft and customer data.
- Customer Interaction (when required): Respond to internal inquiries from engineers and external queries from airline representatives regarding data status.
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; associate degree or higher in Business Administration, Aviation Management, or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of professional data entry or clerical experience, preferably within an aviation or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with enterprise‑level database systems.
- Strong attention to detail, typing speed of at least 60 wpm with high accuracy.
- Understanding of basic aviation terminology and maintenance documentation (e.g., work orders, service bulletins).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently during night hours (2nd shift: 10 PM – 6 AM) and maintain productivity with minimal supervision.
