Position Overview – Pharmacy Technician I, Data Entry
As a Pharmacy Technician I – Data Entry at arenaflex, you will serve as the vital bridge between our members, pharmacists, and prescribers. Your primary responsibility is the accurate interpretation and entry of prescription data, prior authorization processing, and troubleshooting adjudication issues. Working in a hybrid environment, you’ll split your time between a dynamic office setting in Tucson (4821 N Stone Ave) and remote work, ensuring seamless collaboration and optimal workflow.
Shift Details
- Hybrid schedule: In‑office 2 days/week, work‑from‑home 3 days/week.
- Core hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm.
- Candidates must reside within a 50‑mile radius or a maximum one‑hour commute to the Tucson location.
How You’ll Make an Impact

- Member verification & data entry: Accurately confirm member information and input prescription details for pharmacist review.
- Education & advocacy: Guide members through pharmacy rules, medication resources, and assistance programs, helping them navigate cost‑saving options.
- Prior authorization management: Process requests from physician offices, ensure compliance with Medicare and other payer requirements, and promptly communicate determinations to all stakeholders.
- Inquiry response: Address questions from physicians, sales teams, and members regarding formulary coverage, prescription benefits, and eligibility.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve adjudication issues, escalating complex cases when necessary to maintain uninterrupted medication delivery.
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; minimum of 1 year pharmacy‑related experience, or a comparable blend of education and experience.
- Current State Pharmacy Technician license.
- Relevant national certification (e.g., PTCB) as required by the state of Arizona.
- Proficiency with pharmacy software platforms and basic computer applications.
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
