Job Description
Enrollment Specialist
Part-Time Virtual Position
Relationship-Driven | Community-Focused | High-Connection
Are you the kind of person who lights up in conversation—and knows how to guide it somewhere meaningful?
We’re looking for a high-energy, people-first Enrollment Specialist who can build trust quickly, read between the lines, and help prospective students feel confident about taking their next step. This isn’t just about keeping track of details—it’s about creating connection, momentum, and belief.
You’re someone who naturally draws people out. You ask thoughtful questions. You listen closely. You remember what matters. And when someone is on the fence, you know how to help them find clarity—not through pressure, but through presence and influence.
You understand that enrollment isn’t about “closing.” It’s about helping someone feel seen, understood, and empowered to make a decision that moves their life forward. You’re comfortable guiding that decision. You don’t shy away from it.
At the same time, you know that real influence is supported by strong follow-through. You track conversations. You document insights. You stay organized enough that nothing—and no one—falls through the cracks. Systems don’t bore you; they support you.
- In other words, you’re the type of person who:
- Feels energized by real, meaningful conversations (email, DMs, calls, voice notes—you enjoy them all);
- Builds rapport quickly and makes people feel comfortable opening up;
- Knows how to move a conversation forward with confidence and care;
- Follows up thoughtfully and consistently — because timing matters;
- Notices patterns in what people are saying (and not saying);
- Takes pride in helping someone go from uncertain to confident;
- Appreciates strong systems—and isn’t afraid to improve them;
If you’re equal parts charisma and follow-through…
If you love connecting with people and moving things forward…
If you’re excited by the intersection of enrollment, influence, and impact…
Keep reading. We might be looking for you.
About Us:
We are a small, nimble team of dynamic humans. Via our signature program The Lean In. MAKE BANK. Academy, we help ambitious, purpose-driven therapists and social workers in private practice earn more while increasing their capacity for joy, freedom, and service.
Our company is run by therapist turned business consultant, Tiffany McLain, LMFT, who helps therapists and social workers in private practice step into their power and become better clinicians in the process.
Our students, primarily women or historically marginalized folks from working-class backgrounds, are thoughtful, intelligent, funny, and care deeply about the clients they serve, often to the neglect of their own emotional and financial well-being. Our mission is to be the most effective & results-driven program for mental health workers who want to build wealth while increasing their capacity for joy, freedom, and service.
Your Primary Job:
The primary responsibility for this role is to proactively handle the administrative tasks required for the day-to-day operations of LEAN IN-MAKE BANK, INC.
But that sounds kind of vague, so let’s talk about what you’ll actually be doing…
IMPORTANT NOTE: There are a lot of moving pieces for this position, and we don’t expect you to be able to do it all perfectly from day 1. In fact, we won’t even ask you to do it all starting on day 1.
Instead, you’ll first be tasked with taking ownership of the items under heading #1. Then, once you’ve got those mastered, we’ll add on #2, then #3, etc.
Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- 1. Lead and energize our pre-student community. You are the primary relationship-builder for prospective students. You don’t just respond—you initiate, guide, and move conversations forward. For example, you:
- Engage in meaningful, high-quality conversations with potential students via email, DMs, and virtual calls;
- Build trust quickly and create a sense of safety and clarity in every interaction;
- Confidently guide prospective students toward aligned next steps;
- Follow up proactively and consistently—because momentum matters;
- Hold context across conversations so people feel known, remembered, and understood;
- Nurture longer-term leads with warmth and strategic touchpoints;
- Partner closely with our CEO Tiffany, supporting and shadowing her in higher-level sales conversations and eventually taking increasing ownership.
- 2. Own the enrollment pipeline and keep it moving. Behind every great conversation is clean execution. You’ll be the steady force ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. For example, you:
- Accurately document all lead activity, conversations, insights, and outcomes;
- Track leads, enrollments, and revenue-related data so we always know where things stand;
- Monitor pipeline health and flag gaps, delays, or opportunities;
- Ensure follow-ups, check-ins, and status updates are timely and visible;
- Strengthen and improve enrollment workflows as you use them;
- Maintain organized systems that make decision-making easier for the team.
- 3. Support enrollment-focused marketing and messaging efforts. Because you’re on the front lines, your insights matter. For example, you:
- Collaborate closely with Jorshua, our Community Manager, to stay aligned on offers, messaging, and enrollment priorities;
- Support targeted outreach and thoughtful follow-up sequences;
- Notice patterns in objections, hesitations, and frequently asked questions—and share those insights with the team;
- Help refine how we communicate value based on real conversations;
- Over time, develop a strong understanding of how enrollment, sales, and marketing work together inside the business.
Ideal Qualifications:
Here’s the deal: we know that job descriptions can feel intimidating—especially if you don’t check every single box. Research shows that women and folks from marginalized backgrounds are less likely to apply unless they feel 100% qualified. We don’t want that.
If this role excites you and you believe you could grow into it, we strongly encourage you to apply, even if you don’t meet every qualification listed below.
- You might be a great fit if you:
- Are an exceptional communicator in English—clear, confident, warm, and persuasive in writing and conversation;
- Build rapport quickly and make people feel comfortable opening up;
- Know how to ask thoughtful, strategic questions that uncover what someone really needs;
- Are comfortable guiding someone toward a decision without being pushy or transactional;
- Feel energized by being in conversations all day—email, DMs, calls, voice notes;
- Have natural emotional intelligence and can read tone, hesitation, and enthusiasm;
- Take initiative instead of waiting to be told what to do;
- Care about results and feel motivated by helping someone move from uncertain to confident.
- And yes—you’re also someone who:
- Stays organized enough that no follow-up gets missed;
- Documents conversations clearly and accurately;
- Can manage multiple leads and priorities without losing momentum;
- Notices patterns in conversations and communicates insights back to the team;
- Is open to feedback and genuinely wants to grow.
Compensation Details:
This is a contracting role with a generous hourly rate and room for growth and bonuses based on performance.
Application Instructions:
Before you apply: carefully review all of the responsibilities of this position, as they include key details.
Then, if you’re still as stoked as we are, fill out the application form.
Of course, this job description is not all-inclusive, and certain activities, duties, or responsibilities may be required of you, as needed.
