Job Summary:
The Villarreal Organization, Inc. is seeking an experienced and reliable General Counsel to serve on a per diem / as-needed basis. This role involves providing strategic legal guidance across a variety of business areas including employment law, contracts, commercial litigation, and regulatory compliance.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and review contracts, agreements, and legal correspondence
- Advise on employment law, HR matters, and internal policies
- Provide support for litigation, disputes, and small claims actions
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations
- Represent or advise on company legal matters as needed
- Prepare demand letters and review claims related to vendor or partner disputes
Compensation:
Hourly rate or flat per diem ā please include your rate expectations when applying.
Requirements:
- Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) and licensed to practice law in Nevada (additional states a plus)
- 1+ years of relevant experience in business law, employment law, and litigation
- Strong writing, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, remotely, and respond quickly to requests
- Prior in-house or contract counsel experience preferred
