Role Overview

The Customer Service Representative role is the backbone of our store operations. You’ll interact directly with customers both in‑person and over the phone, manage order entry, assist with inventory tasks, and support a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. This position is perfect for energetic individuals who enjoy multitasking, thrive under pressure, and want to be part of a collaborative team that celebrates each success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Interaction: Receive and process telephone and in‑store orders with a friendly, upbeat tone.

  • Order Accuracy: Enter orders quickly and precisely using a computer keyboard or touch‑screen POS system.

  • Cash Handling: Accurately calculate totals, make correct monetary change, and process payments.

  • Equipment Operation: Operate pizza ovens, dough mixers, slicers, and other kitchen equipment safely.

  • Stock Management: Unload deliveries, stock ingredients across the delivery area, walk‑in cooler, and workstations.

  • Product Preparation: Assemble menu items according to brand standards, ensuring consistency and quality.

  • Inventory Control: Conduct regular inventory counts, complete paperwork, and communicate shortages to management.

  • Sanitation & Cleanliness: Perform daily cleaning of equipment, work surfaces, and the overall facility to maintain health‑code compliance.

  • Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with coworkers, assist in training new hires, and contribute ideas for process improvements.

  • Safety Adherence: Follow all safety protocols, including handling hot surfaces, sharp tools, and exposure to food‑related odors.

Essential Skills & Competencies

  • Strong verbal communication – ability to convey information clearly over the phone and in person.

  • Basic math proficiency – quick addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, often using a calculator.

  • Excellent hand‑eye coordination for rapid, precise movements (e.g., ticket entry, dough handling).

  • Comfort using digital POS systems, keyboards, and touch‑screens.

  • Ability to remain calm and efficient during high‑volume periods, such as lunch and dinner rushes.

  • Positive attitude, reliability, and a genuine desire to help customers.

  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads (up to 50 lb).

Qualifications – What We’re Looking For

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Basic reading and writing proficiency in English.

  • Previous experience in a customer‑service or food‑service role.

  • Familiarity with point‑of‑sale (POS) technology.

  • Experience handling cash transactions.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership potential.

Work Environment & Culture at arenaflex

Our Midvale store is a dynamic, fast‑moving environment that can shift from a chilly walk‑in cooler (≈ 36 °F) to a blazing oven chamber (500 °F+). You’ll encounter a variety of sensory experiences—pizza aromas, the hum of equipment, and the occasional cornmeal dust. Despite these challenges, we foster a supportive atmosphere where every team member feels seen, heard, and valued.

Diversity & Inclusion

At arenaflex, diversity isn’t just a buzzword; it’s a cornerstone of our success. We actively celebrate the unique backgrounds, perspectives, and talents each individual brings. Our inclusive policies ensure that everyone—regardless of race, gender, age, or ability—has the opportunity to reach their highest potential.

Advancement Opportunities

Many of our leaders began their journeys as entry‑level team members. Whether you aspire to become a shift manager, a store General Manager, or even a franchise owner, arenaflex provides clear pathways, mentorship programs, and internal promotions. Your growth is our priority.

Compensation, Perks, & Benefits

  • Competitive hourly wage with regular performance‑based increases.

  • Flexible scheduling that accommodates school, family, or other commitments.

  • Opportunities for overtime pay during peak periods.

  • Employee discount on food and beverages.

  • Comprehensive training—including on‑the‑job orientation, safety modules, and customer‑service excellence workshops.

  • Access to a team member assistance program for personal and professional support.

  • Eligibility for full‑time benefits (medical, dental, vision) after a qualifying period, if applicable.

  • Potential to earn career‑advancement bonuses as you move into supervisory roles.

Learning & Development

We invest heavily in our people. As a Customer Service Representative, you’ll receive:

  • Structured onboarding that covers food safety, equipment operation, and brand standards.

  • Ongoing coaching from experienced managers who provide real‑time feedback.

  • Access to online learning portals offering modules on communication, leadership, and culinary fundamentals.

  • Opportunities to cross‑train in other store areas (e.g., delivery coordination, kitchen prep) to broaden your skill set.
