Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience & Service Excellence

Retail Operations & Sales Support
- Operate the assigned cash register with speed and accuracy, handling cash, credit, and electronic payments.
- Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges while adhering to company policy.
- Recommend complementary items and promotional offers to enhance the customer’s shopping experience.
- Maintain clean, well‑merchandised counters and shelves; rotate stock using FIFO (first‑in, first‑out) methodology.
- Assist in inventory management tasks: receiving shipments, pricing merchandise, and conducting cycle counts.
Pharmacy Support & Compliance (Under Direct Supervision)
- Utilize pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and verify accuracy.
- Assist the pharmacist with dispensing tasks: counting, pouring, labeling, and checking for potential drug interactions.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the on‑duty pharmacist and follow the Quality Improvement Program procedures.
- Handle non‑clinical telephone calls, including communications with physicians and third‑party insurance providers.
- Process manual claims for third‑party prescription programs efficiently and accurately.
- Support inventory activities specific to the pharmacy, such as ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceutical products.
- Adhere strictly to state and federal regulations governing controlled substances, alcohol, and tobacco sales.
Additional Storewide Support
- Provide photo services, including digital passport photos, poster prints, and creative product suggestions.
- Fulfill web‑pick‑up orders, ensuring timely retrieval and customer hand‑off.
- Assist with store maintenance, both interior and exterior, to maintain a welcoming environment.
- Participate in creating and resetting promotional displays, seasonal merchandising, and point‑of‑sale signage.
- Collaborate with teammates to uphold safe workplace practices and asset‑protection protocols.
Training, Development & Certification
- Earn and maintain Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification through designated training programs or state‑required registration.
- Complete all mandatory training modules, including Pharmacy Practice Learning (PPL) assignments, and pursue continuing education credits to stay abreast of industry developments.
- Engage in regular skill‑building sessions, cross‑training opportunities, and leadership development programs offered by arenaflex.
Essential Qualifications
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

- PTCB certification or a clear path to obtain certification within the first six months of employment.
- Familiarity with pharmacy workflow, medication counting, measuring, and weighing techniques.
- Proven ability to maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area.
