Establish and maintain relationships with consignors, including collectors, estate managers, and auction houses, to acquire high-quality historical items for sale on eBay.
Conduct thorough research and analysis on historical items to ensure authenticity and value, utilizing a variety of resources such as provenance records and expert opinions.
Collaborate with the eBay authentication team to verify the authenticity of historical items and provide necessary documentation for listings.
Develop and implement strategies to maximize the value of historical items, including pricing, marketing, and promotion techniques.
Oversee the consignment process, including negotiating terms and commission rates with consignors, coordinating pick-up and shipping of items, and maintaining accurate and organized records of consignment agreements.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and eBay policies in regards to the sale of historical items.
Train and supervise a team of consignment specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of consignment processes.
Collaborate with the eBay marketing team to create compelling and informative listings for historical items, highlighting their unique features and historical significance.
Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to expand the consignment business, including potential partnerships with museums, galleries, and other organizations.
Stay updated on current market trends and industry developments related to historical items, and utilize this knowledge to inform consignment strategies and decision-making.
