Job Description
I run a YouTube channel covering the US-Iran war and military/geopolitical developments. I need multiple scriptwriters who can deliver high-energy, pro-American military analysis scripts that keep viewers hooked from the first sentence to the last.
This is ongoing work. I would need 5-6 scripts in a week. $50/script
The Style: Similar to this https://www.youtube.com/@TheMilitaryShow
This isn't PBS or BBC. This is YouTube. The scripts need to:
Open with an immediate hook that makes the viewer feel like they're about to learn something nobody else is telling them
Build momentum using a "but wait, there's more" structure — every 200-300 words should have a new revelation or escalation that keeps people watching
Include specific military details, weapon systems, payload capacities, costs, operational ranges, unit names, force deployments. The audience loves specs and numbers. Don't be vague when you can be precise.
Reference and quote credible sources by name throughout the script — CENTCOM statements, named military analysts, think tanks (CSIS, Chatham House, Critical Threats), defense publications (The War Zone, 19FortyFive, The National Interest), and major outlets (CNN, Reuters, AP). Direct quotes from officials and analysts add authority.
Frame US and Israeli military actions as strategic, calculated, and dominant. The tone is confident and assertive, America is winning, and here's exactly how and why.
Include cost comparisons, force multiplier logic, and strategic reasoning that makes the viewer feel like they understand the Pentagon's playbook
End with a forward-looking hook, what comes next, what the stakes are, and why the viewer needs to come back for the next video
Sound like a knowledgeable military analyst who's genuinely fired up about what's happening, not a newsreader or a textbook
What I Don't Want
Neutral, both-sides BBC tone. We have a clear editorial angle.
AI-generated slop. No "in a stunning display of military prowess" or "the geopolitical landscape has shifted dramatically." If it sounds like ChatGPT wrote it, it's getting rejected.
Surface-level news recaps. Don't just tell me what happened. Tell me WHY it's a genius move, what it means strategically, and what's coming next.
Wikipedia-style writing. This needs to feel like a conversation with someone who actually knows what they're talking about.
What I'm Looking For in a Writer
Deep familiarity with US military hardware, force structure, and doctrine, you should know the difference between a B-2 and a B-52, what a JDAM is, what JASSM stands for, and why air superiority matters
Strong knowledge of the Iran conflict specifically — the nuclear program, IRGC structure, proxy networks (Hezbollah, Houthis, Iraqi militias), Strait of Hormuz dynamics, Gulf state positioning
Ability to track fast-moving developments across CENTCOM releases, defense media, OSINT accounts, and credible news sources
Understanding of YouTube retention, you know how to write for watch time, not just information delivery
Fast. 24-hour turnaround from assignment. Non-negotiable.
Deliverables
2000-2500 scripts in Google Docs or Word
Key sources and direct quotes cited throughout with links listed at the end so I can verify before recording
24-hour turnaround from assignment
Compensation
$50 per script. Writers who deliver quality consistently will get steady recurring work.
