Job Title: AWS & DataDog Engineer
Location: Fully Remote (Central/Eastern Time Zones)
Duration: Long-term Contract (12+ months minimum)
Rate: $80-$100 USD/hour
Overview
We are seeking an experienced technical professional with strong AWS and DataDog expertise to join a long-term engagement supporting one of our clients most established enterprise customers. This is a hands-on, business-focused role that requires deep understanding of AWS infrastructure (both on-prem and cloud) and advanced proficiency in DataDog monitoring and observability tools.
- Key Responsibilities
- Design, maintain, and optimize AWS environments spanning on-prem and cloud systems
- Implement and manage DataDog monitoring solutions across complex enterprise infrastructures
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and performance issues in real time
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical initiatives with business goals
- Develop automation scripts and tools to improve system efficiency and reliability
- Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience with AWS (including hybrid/on-prem environments)
- Proven, enterprise-level experience with DataDog setup, configuration, and optimization
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, security, and monitoring best practices
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

- Flexible start date, but preference for availability to begin soon
