Position Summary<br><br>The Patient Safety Observer is responsible for providing continuous monitoring of patients to promote patient safety and prevent harm.<br><br><strong>Essential Functions<br><br></strong><ul><li>Maintain constant visual observation of multiple patients simultaneously </li><li>Monitor patients for safety risks based on nurse-driven indications </li><li>Verbally redirect patients with a digital 2-way audio device located in patient rooms </li><li>Notify staff if patients require assistance using proper etiquette and escalation protocols </li><li>Confirm patient information throughout all interactions </li><li>Document all interactions with patients and clinical staff including patient and nurse introductions </li><li>Demonstrate proficiency with variety of technology platforms <br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred </li><li>Experience in patient care preferred </li><li>Experience with medical terminology preferred </li><li>Technical proficiency of computer software applications </li><li>Extreme attention to detail <br><br><br></li></ul>Additional Information<br><br>The duties listed are intended to describe the essential functions of the position.
