About Us We are seeking an experienced HR professional or Employment Attorney to assist us in creating and structuring a compliant staffing agency entity that aligns with California and federal employment laws. This project will lay the legal and operational foundation for a staffing agency that can place employees with partner organizations while maintaining full compliance and risk mitigation. Scope of Work The selected consultant or attorney will help us with the end-to-end setup of a staffing agency entity, including: Advising on entity structure (LLC vs. corporation, relationship to our company, compliance considerations) Drafting and/or reviewing staffing agency agreements, including: Client service agreements Employee agreements Independent contractor considerations (if applicable) Guidance on employment law compliance, including: California labor laws Wage & hour requirements Workers’ compensation Unemployment insurance Payroll and tax considerations Developing or advising on HR policies and procedures, including: Hiring, onboarding, and termination practices Employee classification Risk mitigation and liability protection Advising on licensing, registrations, and insurance requirements for a staffing agency Providing strategic guidance on best practices for operating a staffing agency in California Ideal Candidate Licensed Employment Attorney OR senior-level HR Consultant Strong experience with California employment law Proven experience setting up or advising staffing agencies Familiar with nonprofit-adjacent or mission-driven organizations (preferred but not required) Clear communicator who can explain legal concepts in practical terms Detail-oriented, strategic, and compliance-focused Deliverables Recommended entity structure and compliance roadmap Drafted or reviewed legal and HR documentation Written guidance outlining operational and compliance requirements Optional ongoing advisory support (if mutually agreed) Project Timeline Flexible, but ideally completed within 4–6 weeks Budget Open to discussion based on experience and scope Please include: Your hourly rate or project-based pricing Relevant experience with staffing agencies Jurisdiction(s) you are licensed in (if attorney) How to Apply Please submit: A brief overview of your relevant experience Examples of similar work (if available) Your proposed approach to this project Apply tot his job
