Job Description
We are the founders of a growing ecommerce brand selling a wearable cooling device. We are currently shipping globally from Asia and are planning ourfirst international 3PL warehouse expansion
Before making the decision, we want a clear and professional analysis comparing opening a 3PL in the United States vs Europe.
We already researched the European option (VAT, EORI, OSS, import VAT, setup timeline, and general costs) and now want a professional to:
1. Validate our understanding of the EU setup
2. Analyze the US alternative
3. Help us understand which option makes the most sense financially and operationally at our current scale**
The goal is to produce a clear decision framework so we know where to open our first fulfillment center.
Scope of Work
We are looking for an experienced ecommerce / supply chain consultant who can provide:

2. Setup Process & Timeline
- For both US and EU options, explain:

- Typical setup timeline until operations can start
- Required partners (accounting, tax, etc.)
- 3. Regulatory & Tax Structure
- EU: VAT, OSS, import VAT, EORI
- US: sales tax, nexus considerations, import structure
- Key compliance differences between the regions
4. Financial Comparison
- We want a high-level financial comparison including:
- Setup costs
- Ongoing compliance costs
- Fulfillment costs
- Shipping costs
- Import considerations
5. Strategic Recommendation
- Based on:
- Our current scale
- Expected growth
- Operational simplicity
Where should we start with our first 3PL expansion?
