Summary: Responsible for timely recruitment, screening, and enrollment of qualified study participants for ongoing research studies and for supporting recruitment-related administrative and outreach efforts. Performs duties in accordance with company’s values, policies, and procedures.

This role requires fluency in both spoken and written English and Spanish. This is a full-time, temporary position with an expected duration of three months.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include the following. Other duties may be assigned at the company’s sole discretion.
  • Speaks professionally to potential study participants to obtain and input accurate and complete demographic and medical information into the Volunteer Database (VDB).
  • Communicates study details and procedures, addresses questions and concerns, and determines study eligibility based on inclusion and exclusion criteria.
  • Schedules screening appointments for pre-qualified study participants and follows complete screening appointment wrap-up procedures.
  • Updates information from study participant global files into the VDB.
  • Participates in community outreach programs (health fairs, interactions with local professionals, and community advocacy and service groups).
  • Contributes to the completion of recruitment plan milestones.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three months health industry or customer service-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to potential study participants, managers, and other employees of the organization. Bilingual in Spanish/English is required.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the current MS Office Suite and knowledge of media and graphics programs.

This is a full-time, temporary position with an expected duration of three months.
Available shifts (in Pacific Time Zone): Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm OR 8am-4:30pm.
