3D Animator Needed for 5-Minute Cinematic Proposal Short Film (Pixar-Style, No Dialogue)

Hello!
I’m looking for a talented 3D animator to help bring a very personal project to life.
I am creating a 5-minute animated short film that tells the story of how my girlfriend and I grew up together and eventually found our way back to each other. The short will end with a marriage proposal that will be shown in a movie theater.
The animation style should feel warm, cinematic, and expressive, inspired by the emotional storytelling style of films like Luca and Big Hero 6 (original characters of course).
Important:
This short will not have any dialogue. The story will be told entirely through animation, body language, and music.
Story Overview (Condensed):
Two kids who grow up next door meet as children and slowly become close through shared routines like waiting at the bus stop and walking home from school.
They spend years growing up together before life takes them in different directions. They attend different schools and live separate lives for a time.
Eventually they reconnect, begin dating, and support each other through important life challenges.
The film ends in a movie theater where she is watching this very story, unaware that I am about to walk up the aisle and propose.
Final text on screen:
“Jessica… Will you marry me?”
Scope of Work:
Looking for help with:
- Character design (stylized, expressive)
- Environment design (suburban street, bus stop, movie theater, NYC scenes)
- 3D animation for approximately 5 minutes of runtime
- Cinematic lighting and emotional storytelling
- Final rendered video ready for theater playback (1080p or 4K)
Music and final editing can be handled separately if needed.
Ideal Animator:
- Experience with 3D animated storytelling
- Comfortable creating stylized characters
- Strong sense of emotion and body language
- Portfolio with cinematic animation
Timeline:
Ideally completed within 4–8 weeks, but flexible depending on scope.
