Brand Designer Needed for New SaaS Company in the Roofing Industry (Full Branding Package)
Project Overview
We are launching a new SaaS platform called Black Bolt, designed specifically for the roofing industry’s production and operations teams.
This software dramatically speeds up workflow processes that traditionally take 15–30 minutes and reduces them to just 2–3 minutes. Roofing companies can go from slow periods to overwhelming workloads literally overnight, so efficiency and speed are critical.
Our brand needs to communicate two core ideas:
- Strength & Authority – The roofing industry is traditionally male-dominated and values strong, confident branding. • Speed & Power – Our software acts like a “bolt of lightning” that accelerates workflow and eliminates bottlenecks.
The name Black Bolt reflects both of these ideas:
- Black represents strength, power, and professionalism.
- Bolt represents speed, energy, and rapid execution.
We are looking for an experienced brand designer or branding studio to create a full, original brand identity that will help us stand out in the roofing and construction technology space.
Scope of Work
We are looking for a complete branding package, not just a logo.
Deliverables should include:
1. Brand Identity
- 3 Primary logo options
- Secondary logo variations
- Icon / symbol versions
- Logo usage guidelines
2. Visual System
- Color palette
- Typography selection
- Full Brand Style Guide (PDF, 20–30 pages) covering logo usage, colors, typography, spacing, do’s & don’ts, tone of voice, etc.
3. Brand Assets
- Social media profile graphics & banner templates
- Website brand direction (visual style, hero section mockup)
- One-pager sales sheet mockup
- Business card & letterhead
- Email signature
- Favicon / app icon
- Background textures or patterns (if applicable)
- All source files - delivered in AI,EPS, SVG, and PNG formats
4. Optional / Bonus
- UI inspiration direction for SaaS dashboard
- Marketing graphics style
- Brand illustration or icon style
Design Direction
We want something that feels:
- Strong • Masculine • Modern tech-forward • Bold and memorable • Clean and scalable
Think somewhere between construction industry strength and modern SaaS technology.
Avoid generic “roof + house” logo concepts. While looking nothing like the generic roofing software out there (think AccuLynx, Roofr, JobNimbus, etc., with their typical roof silhouettes, hammers, and construction-clipart vibes). Black Bolt must stand out as the sleek, high-performance tech solution that serious roofing crews actually trust and get excited about.
We are open to creative interpretations of lightning, speed, power, and efficiency, but the result must still feel professional for B2B software.
Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has strong branding experience
- Has designed brands for tech, SaaS, or industrial companies
- Can create original concepts (not templates)
- Can deliver a complete and cohesive brand system

Project Budget
Open to proposals depending on experience and portfolio.
We are looking for quality and originality, not quick logo generators.
Project Timeline:
- Initial concepts (2–3 logo directions): 5–7 days
- Revisions & final files + full style guide: 10–14 days total
