Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Our client is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and strategic partner to the CEO and Board of Directors. The CFO will oversee all financial operations of a publicly traded company, including financial reporting, investor relations, capital markets, treasury, tax, internal controls, and compliance with SEC regulations.
This role requires a strong combination of strategic leadership, capital markets expertise, and operational finance discipline to support continued growth, profitability, and shareholder value creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Leadership
- Lead all aspects of corporate finance, including FP&A, accounting, tax, treasury, and financial reporting
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with corporate growth objectives
- Provide strategic financial insights to the CEO and Board of Directors
- Manage long-range financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Public Company Reporting and Compliance
- Oversee preparation and filing of SEC reports including 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley), and internal control frameworks
- Maintain strong internal controls and governance processes
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies
- Capital Markets and Investor Relations
- Lead relationships with institutional investors, analysts, and lenders
- Participate in earnings calls, investor presentations, and roadshows
- Manage capital structure, financing activities, and liquidity planning
- Evaluate strategic financing opportunities including debt and equity offerings
- Strategic Planning and Corporate Development
- Partner with executive leadership on M&A, acquisitions, and strategic investments
- Support board-level financial analysis and decision making
- Lead financial due diligence and integration planning for acquisitions
- Drive initiatives to improve margins, cash flow, and operational efficiency
- Treasury and Risk Management
- Manage corporate liquidity, cash flow, and working capital
- Oversee banking relationships and financing arrangements
- Implement risk management strategies including FX, interest rate, and operational risk
- Team Leadership
- Build and lead a high-performing finance organization
- Oversee Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Internal Audit functions
- Develop talent and strengthen finance leadership bench
Qualifications
- Education
- Bachelorβs degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required
- MBA and/or CPA strongly preferred
- Experience
- 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience
- Prior experience as CFO of a small to mid-cap public company preferred, or experience as a divisional CFO, VP Finance, or Corporate Controller within a public company environment if they have equal or greater experience and complexity.
- Deep experience with SEC reporting and SOX compliance
- Proven experience interacting with public company boards and investors
- Experience in capital markets transactions and investor relations

Pay: $500,000.00 - $700,000.00 per year
