Job Description We are looking for Full-Stack Software Engineers(with a backend focus) to join our team. As an integral member of the development team, you will participate in building the next generation of financial services and benefits platform. Our customers trust us with a lot: integrating seamlessly across financial institutions, moving funds, tracking balances, helping with their healthcare decisions, and keeping their data extremely secure. In order to take on this mission we’re building our applications on modern web technologies around HTML/CSS/Javascript/React, NodeJS/Typescript and PostgresSQL.
We are looking for engineers who want to create deep and meaningful product engagement experiences for our increasing user base, and are comfortable developing complex integrations with financial institutions and partners. - Responsibilities
- Design and Development: Lead the design and development of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.
- Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative engineering culture.
- Problem Solving: Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the reliability and performance of our software.
- Testing: Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Architecture: Contribute to the architecture and design decisions, ensuring the robustness and scalability of the system.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Design, and QA, to deliver high-quality products on time.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of code, APIs, and technical processes.
- Innovation/Strategy: Continuously suggests enhancements for our product and services and can clearly evaluate ideas against team goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Advocate for and implement continuous improvement practices in development processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Security: Ensure that software solutions are secure and compliant with industry standards.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software development, with a strong background in JS/TS, Node.js, React, and Postgres.
- Proven experience in designing and developing scalable, high-performance web applications.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud platforms and DevOps practices is a plus.
- Passion for technology and a continuous learner mindset.
