We connect learners with experienced professionals across healthcare, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical affairs, clinical research, regulatory affairs, and other specialized industries, helping them bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world careers.
Position Overview:
We are seeking experienced healthcare and pharmaceutical industry professionals to join MentorX as part-time, paid mentors. In this remote role, you will provide personalized mentorship to students and early-career professionals pursuing careers in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, medical device, clinical research, regulatory, or medical affairs sectors.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized mentorship in areas such as pharmaceutical development, clinical research, regulatory affairs, medical affairs, quality assurance, drug safety, manufacturing, market access, or healthcare operations.
- Guide mentees in understanding industry functions, career pathways, and the day-to-day responsibilities of roles within pharmaceutical and healthcare organizations.
- Review resumes, CVs, LinkedIn profiles, and support mentees in preparing for interviews and job applications.
- Share practical insights into industry workflows, compliance expectations, cross-functional collaboration, and professional best practices.
- Conduct flexible, online mentorship sessions tailored to each mentee’s academic background, career interests, and professional goals.
- Offer constructive feedback on career plans, professional communication, case studies, presentations, and job search strategies.
- Help mentees better understand how to transition from academic training into industry roles within healthcare and life sciences.
- Qualifications:
- Professional experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, medical device, clinical research, regulatory affairs, medical affairs, quality, manufacturing, or related life sciences industries.
- Strong understanding of healthcare or pharmaceutical industry structures, functions, processes, and career paths.
- Passion for mentorship, coaching, and talent development.
- Prior mentoring, teaching, team leadership, or people management experience is a plus.
- Comfortable working remotely with flexible mentorship schedules.
- Strong communication skills in English; Mandarin Chinese proficiency is a plus.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $80.00 - $100.00 per hour
Work Location: Remote
