Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Ember Search is conducting a CFO search for a mission-driven, high-growth marketplace company in the grocery ecosystem. The CFO will serve as a key partner to the CEO and board, owning financial leadership and strengthening operating discipline across the business. Responsibilities • Build and elevate financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes • Establish board-ready reporting, KPI clarity, and forecasting credibility • Strengthen financial controls, cash management, and operating cadence • Drive strategic decision-making and challenge assumptions with data-driven rigor • Develop a scalable finance function and mentor a strong existing team Skills • Senior finance leader with high-growth experience (ideally marketplace / consumer / retail tech) • Board-facing, credible communicator who can simplify complexity and build trust • Hands-on operator with strong technical depth and strategic judgment • Experience scaling finance functions through rapid growth and operational complexity • Comfort operating with broad scope and high ownership in a lean environment Company Overview • Ember Search is an executive search firm built exclusively for the venture ecosystem.
