LHH is a growing, mission-driven organization based in Chicago seeking a strategic Chief Financial Officer to lead their financial strategy and operations. This remote-first role involves overseeing financial health, reporting, and building a strong finance team while partnering closely with the CEO and board stakeholders. Responsibilities • Own financial strategy, forecasting, multi‑year planning, and capital/budget oversight • Strengthen reporting, controls, compliance, and financial transparency • Oversee cash flow, treasury functions, and organizational financial health • Partner with executive and board stakeholders with clear, actionable analysis • Build and mentor a strong finance team aligned with organizational goals • Lead audits, external reporting, and regulatory compliance Skills • 1+ year of CFO or equivalent senior financial leadership • Strong people leadership and communication skills • Experience improving systems, processes, and financial infrastructure • Comfort operating in a remote‑first setting with limited on‑site requirements • Background in complex revenue models, grant/contract funding, or multi‑source environments • CPA preferred but not required Benefits • PTO: Accrual‑based vacation, sick time, and paid leave totaling ~25 days annually • 9 Paid Holidays • Paid Sick Leave where state law applies • Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, AD&D, STD, LTD, Voluntary Benefits • Wellness & Commuter Benefits • 401(k) or Deferred Compensation Plan • Medical & Dependent Care FSA • Employee Assistance Program Company Overview • At LHH, we believe work should be meaningful, fulfilling, and connected.
