Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Fantasy or Sci-fi Book Coach and Editor to join our creative team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with authors at various stages of their writing journey, providing expert guidance and inspiring feedback to elevate their manuscripts.
- What We're Looking For:
- Track record as an author (traditionally published or highly successful indie authors)
- Experience giving meaningful editorial feedback and/or guiding writers in a teaching or mentoring capacity
- A strong grasp of narrative craft and the mechanics of great storytelling
- What the Role Involves:
- Deliver one live craft-focused lesson each month
- Provide weekly developmental notes on a short writing submission from each student
- Hold two individual coaching calls per month with each student

A Quick Note: Our program serves novelists specifically. We have tremendous respect for poets, nonfiction authors, and screenwriters ā but this particular role isn't the right match for those backgrounds.
Compensation: $500 per student, per month. Most mentors take on between 6 and 10 students at a time.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $45,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
