Job Description
Providing expert care to patients requiring long-term acute and telemetry services, this Registered Nurse role demands clinical excellence, leadership, and critical thinking within a hospital setting. You will deliver comprehensive nursing care in line with the Nursing Process, state regulations, and hospital protocols, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver skilled nursing care to telemetry and LTAC patients, incorporating patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Exercise leadership and supervision of nursing staff, delegating tasks according to staff competencies and patient care priorities.
- Utilize critical thinking and scientific judgment to anticipate and plan safe care strategies.
- Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and adherence to hospital policies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards.
- Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Indiana RN license or multi-state compact license.
- Minimum of two years recent experience in Telemetry and LTAC nursing within a hospital environment.
- Ventilator and tracheostomy care proficiency.
- Current American Heart Association ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise clinical teams.
- Strong critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills.
