About Haaretz
Haaretz is Israel’s leading independent newspaper and a globally respected media brand, known for high-quality journalism, in-depth analysis, and influential thought leadership. With a growing international readership, Haaretz is expanding its commercial footprint in the U.S. market.
About the Role
We are seeking a results-driven Media Sales Lead to own and grow Haaretz’s advertising revenue and commercial activities in the U.S. market. This is a senior, hands-on role that requires strong sales capabilities — actively prospecting, pitching, and closing — alongside the ability to build long-term strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate brings a proven sales track record, a strong network within the U.S. media and advertising ecosystem, and the ability to compellingly present Haaretz’s unique audiences and commercial products to agencies, advertisers, and relevant organizations.
- Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive U.S. advertising sales and business development activities, with clear revenue and growth targets.
- Proactively present Haaretz’s audience profiles, editorial products, and advertising solutions to U.S. advertising agencies, media buyers, and brand managers.
- Identify, prospect, and approach U.S.-based companies, brands, and organizations seeking to reach Haaretz’s readership.
- Lead the full sales cycle: prospecting, pitching, proposal development, negotiation, and closing deals.
- Develop strategic sponsorship and branded content partnerships with U.S. corporations, Jewish organizations, and institutions relevant to Haaretz’s audience.
- Serve as the primary commercial representative of Haaretz in the U.S. advertising market
- Qualifications & Experience
- Proven track record in media sales in the U.S. market, preferably in advertising agencies, media outlets, publishing, or digital content.
- Demonstrated sales skills: the ability to prospect independently, build a pipeline, and consistently close deals.
- Strong existing network with U.S. advertising agencies, media planners, and/or direct advertisers – a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with the U.S. Jewish community, Jewish organizations, federations, or related institutions – a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to close complex, relationship-based deals.
- Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
Location – New York area preferred.
- What We Offer
- Opportunity to lead and shape Haaretz’s commercial advertising growth in the U.S.
- Work with a premium, mission-driven media brand with global influence and a uniquely engaged audience.
- High-impact role with autonomy and visibility.
