Job Description
Podcast Audio Editor - Ongoing Remote Work
I'm launching a storytelling podcast called Anchor Moments - a show about the defining moments that shape who we are. I'm looking for a skilled audio editor for ongoing episode editing work.
What you'll be editing:
Remote interview recordings captured in Riverside.fm (separate local tracks per guest)
Conversational interview format, episodes typically 30β90 minutes of raw audio
Occasional heavy emotional content - guests share personal stories, must be discrete
What I need:
Clean, natural-sounding edits - not over-produced
Remove filler words (um, uh, like) where they disrupt flow - but preserve natural speech rhythm
Background noise removal and audio leveling across host and guest tracks
Remove dead air, false starts, and off-the-record sections
Light EQ and compression so all voices sound consistent and warm
Exported as MP3, 128kbps stereo, ready for upload to hosting platform
What I'm NOT looking for:
Heavy processing that makes voices sound unnatural
Music mixing (I'll handle intros/outros separately)
Video editing
Project details:
Episodes delivered as Riverside project files or separate WAV/MP3 tracks
Target turnaround: 3β5 business days per episode
Frequency: 2β4 episodes per month to start, growing over time
Communication via Upwork messages
To apply, please include:
1β2 samples of podcast editing work (interview format preferred)
Your base rate for up to 60 minutes of raw audio, and how you price episodes beyond that
Your typical turnaround time
Straightforward work, consistent volume, long-term relationship if it's a good fit.
