We are seeking a highly motivated Sell-Side Analyst to support business owners through the exit process by identifying potential sellers, preparing businesses for sale, and creating compelling deal packages that attract qualified buyers. Responsibilities β€’ Proactively identify and engage business owners in the $500K–$50M range who may be considering an exit β€’ Build and maintain relationships with 20+ potential sellers at various stages of readiness β€’ Develop creative outreach strategies across email, LinkedIn, cold calling, and industry-specific channels β€’ Identify target sectors and businesses that would be attractive to our buyer network β€’ Conduct preliminary financial analysis and business quality assessments β€’ Identify areas for improvement to maximize business value pre-sale β€’ Review financials for buyer-readiness (clean books, quality of earnings, revenue sustainability) β€’ Advise sellers on common deal-killers and how to address them proactively β€’ Create comprehensive, professional deal summaries highlighting business strengths and growth opportunities β€’ Develop standardized confidential information memorandums (CIMs) for qualified opportunities β€’ Prepare financial models showing historical performance and future potential β€’ Position businesses to align with buyer acquisition criteria and SBA 7(a) eligibility requirements β€’ Present vetted opportunities to Continental members and qualified buyers β€’ Match sellers with appropriate buyers based on industry expertise, location preferences, and deal size β€’ Maintain confidentiality throughout the process while maximizing qualified buyer interest β€’ Coordinate initial buyer-seller introductions and facilitate information exchange β€’ Maintain detailed CRM records of all seller conversations and deal status β€’ Track metrics: seller outreach volume, engagement rates, deals packaged, and successful exits β€’ Collaborate with advisors via Slack to ensure smooth deal progression β€’ Document seller feedback and market insights to improve positioning strategies Skills β€’ Strong analytical skills, including the ability to evaluate financial statements and business performance metrics β€’ Proficiency in financial modeling, business valuation concepts, and creating professional deal materials β€’ Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust with business owners β€’ Basic understanding of mergers and acquisitions, business valuation methodologies, and exit planning β€’ Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality in sensitive situations β€’ Real Estate Licence is required for this job β€’ Must be willing to operate in a fast-paced startup environment with minimal guidance β€’ Must have a high do-to-say ratioβ€”earn trust by following through without reminders β€’ Always over-delight clients β€’ Always under-promise and overdeliver β€’ Pursuing or holding a degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field is beneficial Benefits β€’ Collaborative and dynamic remote work environment β€’ Direct impact on helping entrepreneurs achieve life-changing exits β€’ Work directly with founders and influence how we scale our sell-side services β€’ Develop expertise in business valuation, deal structuring, and exit planning Company Overview β€’ Weekly newsletter about a hand selected list of businesses currently for sale from all your fav M&A marketplaces.
