    Responsibilities:
  • Consults with staff at all levels in the organization, including department heads and project team leaders to provide support in identifying and achieving positive outcomes for the organization.
  • Analyzes existing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize overall performance.
  • Develops Lean Performance Improvement capabilities through the delivery of education and training for all staff and faculty as required.
  • Applies cutting-edge customer service and consulting skills to drive initiatives throughout the organization.
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Provides consulting services that support strategic plans to improve patient care and control costs.
  • Conceptualizes and develops Lean Performance Improvement capabilities and strategies within the assigned value stream.
  • Facilitates the implementation of initiatives to benefit the organization and achieve negotiated customer outcomes.
  • Supports and facilitates Targeted Improvement Efforts (TIEs) through defining the problem, gathering data, and successful implementation of tools.
  • Collaborates with Lean Practitioners in developing appropriate measures and metrics for capturing lean benefits using appropriate methodology throughout the tools and techniques to achieve operational improvement.
  • Supports the development of new initiatives, such as organization-wide customer service, communication processes, and re-engineering.
  • Formulates, manages, administers, interprets, and coordinates work processes related to the implementation, administration, presentation, and evaluation of education.
  • Responsible for identifying, preparing, and utilizing internal instructors for the quality development and delivery of effective orientation, training, and education programs.
  • Fosters a culture of continuous improvement by promoting process excellence and encouraging feedback from team members.
  • Applies state-of-the-art concepts and techniques to design, create, implement, and evaluate orientation, education, and training for staff and faculty in support of a strategic plan.
  • Identifies opportunities to modify existing programs to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Utilizes effective, customer-specific education and training methods within assigned value stream, including individual coaching, group instruction, demonstration, conferences, meetings, workshops, and computer-assisted instruction.
  • Initiates and participates in networking and benchmarking efforts.
  • Utilizes collaborative educational efforts whenever possible.
  • Functions as a representative of the University in these relationships and with other organizations, associations, and community groups.
  • Utilizes current information and trends in the lean performance improvement field through reading professional journals, attending professional association meetings, and counting education programs.
  • Initiates interaction with other team members to discuss projects/programs/issues on an as-needed basis.
  • Mentors other members in specific skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in education, business, industrial engineering, or related field and 2 years experience in education, training or orientation and related consulting experience required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in the health care environment preferred.
    Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) required.
  • Proven experience in leading process improvement projects required.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels required.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools required.
    Benefits
  • Compensation Range: $70,197.00 - $105,295.00.
  • The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job.
  • Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
