Compensation: $130,000 - $160,000 Location: United States – Remote The job: The Senior Risk and Compliance Manager will develop and oversee a comprehensive compliance and risk management framework across the organization and work to expand the operational compliance and risk program companywide. You will ensure adherence to financial regulations, NACHA operating rules, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements, and other applicable legal and regulatory standards. This position partners closely with cross-functional teams (Legal, Finance, Product, Engineering, Security, etc.) and external stakeholders to maintain compliance standards, mitigate risk, support audits, and foster a company-wide culture of compliance. What you will do: • Design and evolve a companywide compliance and risk framework across financial, payment, and privacy domains. • Ensure compliance with banking, lending, consumer finance, and NACHA requirements tied to Buildertrend products. • Lead AML and fraud programs, including KYC, transaction monitoring, and reporting obligations. • Partner with Legal, Finance, Product, Engineering, and Security to embed compliance into daily workflows. • Serve as the primary contact for audits, regulators, and banking partners, managing findings through resolution. • Track compliance metrics and risks, and present clear insights to senior leadership. Who you are and what you need: • Five or more years of experience at a SaaS company, bank, credit union, nonbank lender, fintech, insurance and/or regulatory agency required. • Bachelor’s degree required, relevant certifications preferred (risk and compliance, including one or more of CIA, CISA, CFE, CRISC or other relevant certifications • Possess strong knowledge of BSA (Bank Secrecy Act)/AML (Anti-Money Laundering), privacy and payment laws. • Demonstrate strong knowledge of control frameworks and the ability to design and evaluate effectiveness of controls embedded within business processes. • Possess an excellent understanding of operations related to KYC (Know Your Customer), AML (Anti-Money Laundering), fraud, sanctions, etc. • Demonstrate a strong technical understanding of the financial services regulatory environment including Banking as a Service (BaaS), payment processing and card issuance. • Ability to be compliance-minded with great attention to detail.
