Job Description
DRAMS Group is a California-based architecture, engineering, and construction firm with offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles. We deliver high-quality design and engineering solutions across a wide range of residential and commercial projects. We're looking for a licensed Structural Engineer to join our team on a contract basis.
What You'll Do
Perform structural calculations and analysis for a variety of project types including single-family homes, multifamily residential, retail, warehouses, data centers, and pre-schools.
Review and redline construction documents prepared by drafters to ensure accuracy and code compliance. Respond to plan check comments and coordinate corrections. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and internal drafting staff to resolve design and structural issues. Conduct periodic site visits in the SF Bay Area or Los Angeles metro as needed.
- What We're Looking For
- California PE license (required — S.E. is a plus)
- 5+ years of experience in structural engineering across residential and commercial project types
- Strong knowledge of CBC, IBC, and California seismic design requirements
- Experience with wood, steel, concrete, and masonry design
- Performing calculations, reviewing and redlining drawings produced by internal drafting staff as Engineer of Record (EOR)
- Bachelor's in Civil/Structural Engineering (Master's preferred)

- Contract role | ongoing / contract-to-hire
- $50-75 per hour, depending on experience
