This role focuses heavily on API automation, C#/.NET development, and Selenium-based UI testing, while working closely with development and DevOps teams. Strong communication skills and a solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) are essential, as they help in creating scalable and maintainable automation frameworks. The engineer should be proficient in C#, have strong experience with Selenium and XPath, and possess good API testing knowledge including validating payloads and responses. Additionally, working knowledge of SQL is required for validating backend data during tests.The role also involves developing and maintaining C# automation frameworks, automating both API and UI regression tests, and integrating these tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, with exposure to GitHub Actions and a willingness to learn Azure Pipelines. Automation engineers are expected to write clean and structured test cases in IDEs, analyze test failures, log defects, and support root-cause analysis. Over time, they take increasing ownership of automation stability, CI/CD processes, issue backtracking, and improving overall test coverage to ensure reliable and efficient software delivery
