About the Role
The Strategic Finance team plays a vital role in shaping strategic decisions and connecting financial insights with operational execution. The team partners directly with leadership across the organization to drive clarity, accountability, and better decision-making.
The Manager or Senior Manager, Strategic Finance is a high-impact individual contributor role for an analytical thinker who thrives at the intersection of finance, operations, and decision-making. This role is designed for someone who goes beyond analysis and reporting to own the financial point of view on the company’s most important initiatives.
You will function as a trusted thought partner to senior leaders by framing complex business questions, evaluating strategic alternatives, and helping leadership make informed tradeoffs. Success in this role requires strong judgment, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to influence outcomes through insights. In addition, you will help evolve the company’s financial processes and systems to support scale, speed, and visibility.
- What You’ll Do
- Serve as a strategic finance partner to executive and functional leaders by structuring ambiguous business questions, evaluating alternatives, and recommending clear, data-backed courses of action.
- Own the financial perspective for strategic planning and forecasting, including identifying key risks, opportunities, and metrics that influence performance.
- Build and deploy dynamic financial models and scenario analyses to evaluate growth initiatives, pricing strategies, margin opportunities, and resource allocation tradeoffs.
- Lead financial evaluation of strategic investments and support capital allocation decisions, including ROI analysis, downside assessments, and tracking.
- Lead finance transformation initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve planning, forecasting, and decision-support processes—integrating new tools, systems, or workflows to increase efficiency, scalability, and insight.
- Define and evolve KPI frameworks that connect operational drivers to financial outcomes, enabling leadership to focus on the metrics that matter most.
- Prepare and present executive- and board-level materials that tell a clear financial story, highlight tradeoffs, and support action.
- Partner closely with Operations, Product, Business Development, and Data teams to ensure alignment between strategic goals and financial outcomes, while challenging assumptions and standard processes when results diverge from plan.
- Who You Are
- Strategic finance operator: You bring 4–6+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or corporate strategic finance, and you are comfortable owning outcomes, not just analysis.
- Strong business judgment: You can synthesize imperfect information, form an independent point of view, and communicate recommendations clearly, even in ambiguous situations.
- Analytical and pragmatic: You are highly fluent in financial modeling and valuation, but you focus on insight, impact, and decision support rather than technicals alone.
- Trusted partner: You influence across functions with credibility, clarity, and intellectual honesty, and you are willing to challenge assumptions when needed.
- Adaptable and entrepreneurial: You thrive in fast-paced, unstructured environments and can move initiatives from concept to execution.
- Industry experience: Background in healthcare, life sciences, or technology-enabled services is a strong plus.
- Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of post-graduate experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or strategic finance roles.
- Demonstrated ability to independently structure complex, ambiguous problems and drive them to actionable recommendations.
- Proven experience building financial models, scenario analyses, and executive- or board-level presentations.
- Strong understanding of P&L management, ROI analysis, and capital allocation frameworks.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with systems such as NetSuite, Adaptive Insights, Power BI, or similar tools preferred.
- Prior experience in a high-growth or technology-enabled organization strongly preferred.
- Occasional travel to Orlando, FL (remote role).
- Why AssistRx
- Meaningful work that improves patient access to critical therapies
- A culture where finance is a true strategic partner, not a back-office function
- Direct exposure to executive leadership and high-impact decisions
- Competitive compensation, performance bonuses, and comprehensive benefits
- 401(k) match with immediate vesting, full medical/dental/vision, disability coverage
